What is meant by “natural” laws?

Let’s be honest, how many current Linux users can trust any code that they run? There’s so many guides and instructions where you essentially copy/paste commands to install or configure something that it would be difficult for your average user to verify everything.
The book: A simple guide to choosing the right Lemmy instance for you.
Your response is an example of what frustrates me with Lemmy. Anyone with a different opinion must be a fascist. No nuance. Just instantly labelling people. No wonder the numbers are dropping and not attracting new users.
Guess what? We can have people who aren’t far left who aren’t fascists. I’d rather see healthy discussions and debates than everyone patting each other on the back for saying “DAE capitalism bad”.
Now we have interinstance drama!

I tried to keep my phone until it’s on its last legs. I had my OnePlus 6T for over 6 years after the battery life was abysmal. Before that I had a Sony Xperia Z3 Compact that literally fell apart.
I’d like to keep my Pixel 9 Pro for several years, fingers crossed!

I replaced my OnePlus 6T recently and thought the performance was great, until I went back to it a couple of weeks later for something and it felt incredibly slow and laggy.
Have you replaced the battery at all? The battery life was getting extremely poor on mine which is ultimately what made me buy a new phone.

Gross.
How long do we reckon it’ll be before it’s re-branded back to “Office”?

I usually do our food shop online, however I plan the meals and write down everything we need for the week. If I’m going to the shop then I’ll write the list down in the order I’ll move through the shop so that i can just work my way down through the list.
Brimg back double-clicking on the top left corner of a program to close it.
What OS was this on? Not sure it’s ever been a feature of Windows as far as I know. What’s the benefit of doing this vs just single clicking on the X button?

This makes no sense to me what so ever. Why do any apps care about where the taskbar is? How’s it any different when a window isn’t maximised and the user resizes it? Either I’m seriously misunderstanding this or it’s a completely made up excuse.
I’d rather they just say “we completely rewrote the taskbar, but we know that less than 0.01% of users move their taskbar so we didn’t prioritize it”.
To me the bigger issue with the taskbar is that you can’t make it compact. Instead it has to be a big chunky mess.
Primarily Spotify, mixed in with SoundCloud and YouTube for live sets.

Imagine the possibilities!

I always hated the UX of forums. It was incredibly difficult to follow long threads with loads of pages. Personally I prefer the format we have here on Lemmy where comments are nested off the main post.

Damnit Melon, you could have posted this the other week!

28 pounds = 12.7kg, for those wondering.

If your individuality is all tied up in your physical appearance, try to develop your mind a bit.
Kind of condescending, no? Also, they’re kids. Teenagers especially are all about their phsyical appearance… and their minds are developing.
Not even Nazis or paedophiles?
