For deleted content.
Did someone delete your post or your comment? Was that bullshit? Make a post in [email protected], tag the people you were talking to if any, and continue.
You can also pre-emptively make a post here, if there is some community whose rules prohibit the thing you would like to say to someone, but you’d still like to be able to say it. This does not include personal insults or anything of that nature, only forbidden viewpoints or similar weird rules.
I was inspired to publicize this idea when this link was deleted from [email protected], because lemmy.world moderation is great, and as far as I can tell was not reposted anywhere more suitable afterwards.
Have fun
Community link: [email protected]
This gives me strong [email protected] vibes. But still a different theme, as meanwhileongrad is concentrated on tankie madness and this is more of a generic “you speak bad about people supporting some form of totalitarianism -> we dislike you”.
It’s also sad that it doesn’t suprise me something like this comes from .world.
So, like, “let’s continue this conversation outside” as a community concept?
Maybe it needs some kind of re-framing, so it’s clear that it is only for bad mod decisions. If it winds up as just people wanting to continue bickering when the mods are trying to stop them I will probably have to change something.
Call it Phil’s Bucket of [deleted] and make clear you’ll get rid of any posts for any reason, and then only allow discussions you think are interesting?
Yeah, maybe. I thought I made it pretty overt in the community rules, let’s see how it shakes out in practice.
That sounds like it’s going to get real messy real fast
Platforms run by “free speech absolutists” tend to go that way
