To be honest, I do the same thing. A couple of simple rules to keep the web entertaining:

1. Filter everything that triggers you
2. Ban porn
3. Never, never look at comments on politics, religion and family. You’re like to want to erase humanity afterwards

uBlock Origin is very powerful thing. It can remove link tracking (I posted links before if you’re interested); it can remove parts of site; it can change JavaScript and its response. Basically, everything is possible.

I’d even specify that. Loosing uBlock Origin on Firefox is like getting rid of the web per se.

I’d also add so-called cloud storage. There is no magical cloud, there’s only someone else’s server/PC. Don’t trust it with personal data ever, or make your own “cloud” instaed.

I fully agree! I have no idea why would I need to pay $20 for an app when I have a bunch of alternatives that I like even more. Welp, I even like to use a browser instead of an app sometimes. But people are excited and are going to Lemmy, which is a good thing
