My child seems to be in a reasonably healthy relationship. It’s a wonder since I put them through a few bad ones, but I eventually left. They’ve been in a stable relationship for five years. I don’t pry much and I pray they aren’t staying because they feel they’d flounder, otherwise. Their partner is a good person, in not implying they aren’t. Compatibility is a thing, common interests are necessary.
I just told a care provider recently that I’ve no idea if I’m capable of a healthy relationship, because I don’t even know what one looks like from the outside, let alone from the inside. I’m nearly 60.
I don’t know that turning onward is a bad idea. It can be, if we get terrified and refuse to go deeper. What I mean is, grief work and rage work and all the icky stuff is necessary, as are breaks from the heaviness. Be gentle with yourself, friend.

2·26 days agoI’m done with the project requiring me to keep Windows. But going back to Linux after 15 years is like starting new. Ik mint was always considered one of the best for novices. Any others?
1·27 days agoI’m doing this now. For Mr/Ms fix it myself, I don’t find much elsewhere. I hope that changes.
Tbh I figured they have bots crawling social media to find out what people are using to avoid their annoying, intrusive, abusive practices and use that to get ever more obnoxious.

A month so far. I mean, I’m pretty sure I probably said stuff that was ignorant of actual facts that showed up on other instances and could’ve been dv’d by, it argued over with them, it’s hard to say since my original instance went down and I generally try not to hold grudges, but as long as I’ve been consciously aware, I don’t recall any unpleasantness. But then I’m not going on their instances acting like I know everything just because I read it from a Western or US-centric source. All governments BS their citizens and we never really know to what extents, since *Assange, Snowden, Manning and a bunch of other whistle-blowers were heavily persecuted and prosecuted.
I have been corrected, with credible sources from Western-centric media and had my thinking challenged, but it wasn’t disrespectfully, as far as I was aware. They’re alright, I’ve had non -confrontational posts rm’d and been flamed for no good reason by mods and regulars on the biggest instance. Every other instance seems pretty decent, but that’s my own experience.

3·28 days agoMost people in the security industries that I’ve ever known are keenly interested in privacy, for good reason. There is a reason certain protesting elements *cover their faces and it’s not usually for nefarious reasons.
