No they aren’t. Deer are often struck mid-bound which will absolutely send them flying into your windshield. Also, depending on what part of the world you are in, deer can get pretty huge.

I disagree. There are still tons of games available that are amazing and aren’t developed by companies that enable shitty behavior and decision making, but you definitely have to shift through the chaff to find them.
Hot shit it’s not often you see a frontpage cross reference on Lemmy!
You’re not wrong but there is such a huge cost of entry for even a decent speaker set up.
My biggest fear about a Google breakup would be what that does to the mobile market, specifically in the US, given the iPhone’s popularity here.
You’re not wrong. The mass proliferation of listacles with the same 5 advertised products stamped behind a novella of filler to appease SEO algorithms has been increasingly problematic for at least 10 years now. The issue has only been compounded with the flood of “AI” generated content and deceptive ads. I almost prefer when every website had sidebars full of blatant advertisements. Sure they were ever present, but they weren’t trying to literally trick you into buying something.
Since they started blocking VPN traffic I would love it if people stopped hosting images on imgur.
Lol fuck off.
It’s important that the discourse is visible and thoughtfully debated (as possible).
I had to go back to my feed and check but I actually get very little in the way of meme posts. That may be the way I have my feed filtered though. I would welcome quality memes, but I also may be starting to age out of what is being created at this point
What I wanted was the social experience of chatting with people about games. I don’t care about (as a random example) the latest Helldivers 2 patch notes.
Please yes this. It’s good to see gaming related news but largely I just want to nerd out about the games themselves. Of course I should be told to just post my own damn content, but I have admittedly never been good about creating OC.
Yeah, it’s contextually appropriate most of the time. I doubt there are many American users posting American politically specific ideas on posts about non-american politics.
The only real validity to this complaint would be an overabundance of posts regarding American politics; to which I would say, down vote those and post your own. I, for one, promise not to be upset.
This is patently untrue. I want Lemmy to be successful as much as any other user on here but reddit had 150-200 million MAU in 2016. Lemmy is being recorded as a generous 2 million.
Fucking hell I miss the 2000s/10s.
Oh, weird. They don’t require prints for a DL in TX, but we’re already closing in on an authoritarian state anyways. I didn’t know this was a thing.
That’s the fun part about the war for privacy. We have already lost and if you make a big deal about it they’re just going to make your life hell!
If people hate your guts chances are you’re not a good manager.
Anyway I hope I hope online artists, and authors are able to use this to sue AI companies for stealing their copyrighted works.
No no no no, this is part of the trickle down economics we’ve been promised for decades. It only works going down, not punching up.
