Yeah, a mastodon user can just see whats going on and even follow themselves on their as well. Its much easier to setup a lemmy account tho and use the interface than just interfacing with mastodon.

That’s the main reason I left Skype. Giving someone even your username and simply answering their call would expose your IP and be a major security liability.
