I haven’t had the same experience with jokes (my experience aligns more with the meme) but I always hear the most homoerotic comments from the straights.

I’m closeted to one group of friends, and i openly say gay shit because it’s funny and I can get away with it and have only been questioned once. But good lord can some of the straight people in that group effortlessly say gayer shit than me.

  • Idk what genres you like so here’s a few recommendations across a few genres. On phone so no links.

I’ve been obsessing over Hiræth lately, probably one of the best albums I have ever heard. It’s not a metal album, but it scratches that itch I have for metal, so it’s going on this list lol

    • Witching - Vernal (blackened sludge)
    • Flummox - Rephlummoxed (prog death/avant garde)
    • Mamaleek - Vida Blue (avant garde)
    • Rail Yard Ghosts - Hiræth (Blackgrass/Blackened folk punk, large band)
    • Woe - Hope Attrition (black metal/RABM)
    • Botanist - Paleobotany (Experimental Black metal)
    • An Abstract Illusion - Woe (prog death)

  • My friend went to ireland with some of his mates from uni, and one of them ordered an irish car bomb on the first night. The bartender was cool with it and asked if they serve “school shooters” in the states.

They were all incredulous, and the bartender comes back with the car bomb. He later comes back apologizing profusely because he thought he crossed the line, but they told him it was fine they were just caught completely off guard by that.

They went to that bar many more times.

  • I remembered about 60% and I knew the general format of the password. It was about 30-40 characters in length so it was far from short. I couldn’t remember one of the words, the numbers, or the symbols, nor could I remember the order of the numbers and symbols since I diverted from the pattern I used to use due to the significance of the password.

I made a custom dictionary, and used john with a custom generator to make it fit the possible format of my password so that is why it was so fast. Had I not done that, it probably would have been feasible. It was also an older less secure luks partition so that helped a ton, and the fact I had a mediocre gpu (2070max-q) was the icing on the cake.

I intentionally keep no copies of my encrypted drive passwords so I was fucked if I couldn’t remember the password.

  • I’ve never been able to sharpen them. But I can sharpen my metal knives.

I highly recommend carbon steel Japanese knives. They are absurdly sharp and hold their edge for a long while. They can shatter like this sometimes, though a lot less dramatically, and usually after being dropped. They also need to be treated similar to cast iron, since they can rust if not cared for. Get one with a stainless cladding so you can just sharpen your knife if you accidentally let the blade rust.

Granted, I do a ton of volunteer work that involves a lot of food prep, so I need a knife that is sharp, holds an edge, and chan be sharpened as needed. I hate buying knives that will eventually need to be tossed because I can’t sharpen them. I love my Nakiri and Kiritsuke so much, can’t recommend japanese knives enough.

  • In most cases there isn’t much you can do to fool the government without a lot of prep time such as scouting routes to find cameras, destroying them, or being really good at changing into bloc in the middle of a crowd and not getting caught.

But the important thing is threat modeling. The past dozen or so protests I’ve been at haven’t had the government as a big threat, it has had fascists as the primary threat. While a fascist cop would be a problem, it is much less likely than fascists combing through protest footage to try and doxx people, or a fascist at said action trying to get good photographs. That’s why I masked up.

The last real dicey action that I went to I still masked up, even knowing that the government could still try to track me if needed because I knew it would be time consuming to do so, and that they would only go through the process of doing that if I make it worth their while. Bloc is still effective, but quite hard under this heavily surveillanced police state.

The world is full of creatives who make things without any expectation of income, but people create anyways. Look at open source software, or the many youtubers who don’t get enough views to get paid yet they post anyways. There’s quite a few journalists who operate solely on optional donations.

Fuck IP. Copyright is theft. IP kills.
