i try not to use AI too often, but when i do have a question i like the interchangeability of the models, so when I feel that one model is too lobotomised to get my question i change it for another and compare it. i trust what ddg says about respecting privacy, i don’t trust the backend llm suppliers though, i don’t have any illusions about that.
i also think the premium through duck.ai option could be interesting if you are a professional user because it still offers the interchangeability option.
but still, it should not be integrated on the main search page, and search should be revamped. normally the first results i get are for some social media presence of a restaurant somewhere halfway around the world instead of the wikipedia article on the main subject that made the name famous in the first place.
also the domain owners of duck.au, duck.si and others are getting a lot of traffic

They’re doing this because these AI companies have basically pre-ordered a fuck ton of components that have not been manufactured yet to be put into computers that haven’t even been made yet for datacenters that are not even built yet all on an electrical grid that hasn’t caught up.
throwing us AI slop summaries in our faces to create a demand that doesn’t yet exist, to generate a profit that will never exist.

this shit was revolutionary
it depends on the seriousness of the appointment, but mostly it feels like if i start something else in between i wouldn’t have enough time to finish the task, i might get sidetracked and totally overwhelmed and everything is just stressful. even if it’s an easy and everyday task i’m doing in between, i’m suddenly feeling a lot of stress and pressure. so to some extent it’s bad time management due to getting sidetracked, fear of failure and that combination leads to radical time management: don’t do any task before! and for similar reasons the time afterwards is also somewhat uncomfortable
