Thanks, I do appreciate this. It’s good to be reminded.

Sorry, no greenwashing, just guessing. I just haven’t seen the criticisms like we had 10 years ago.
I agree that politicians don’t have much reason to speak against it without pressure, but I haven’t seen any pressure from citizens about it recently.
I could very much be out of the loop, so if you have any recent articles critical of the industry, I’d be happy to see them.
It seems like the fracking industry has cleaned up a lot of their shit? We aren’t hearing the stories of water on fire, earthquakes in areas like Oklahoma, etc.

It really depends on the kind of buses I think.
I did a lot of traveling in South America and it was a great way to see different countries. A lot of the buses were pretty luxurious with 180 degree reclining seats, meals and bus attendants to give your blankets and things. You could rest comfortably during the night trips. I also met some interesting people along the way. Some trips were horrible too, but at least I have the stories.
I probably wouldn’t do it in the US. Don’t know about other countries.
Can you actually extend the trip and stay at some hotels/hostels or something along the way? If the buses are comfortable, and you have the time and budget, i think it would be great to visit three different countries, enjoy the foods and sites, meet people along the way, and have that time by yourself to do whatever you want.
Love takes many forms. Caring for someone without the expectation of a benefit you want is a form of love. If my wife came down with MS and we could no longer have sex, I would still love her, respect her and admire the mother and life partner that she is. I would also be upset that I couldn’t have sex any more.
I personally would try to figure out the following, with or without professional help:
A good mother and partner is so hard to find. Love can take many forms. Don’t feel limited in your choices if you can make other options work out.
We need more instances, but we need to be a lot smarter about the structure. I think we will only be able to grow larger if we make a more intentional separation between topic-based instances and “people-home” instances, so that we can have a better spread of the load.
I don’t know if it would help with load-balancing, but I feel hash tags would be better than communities.
So use syncthing on all your devices. It will let you selectively sync folders.
In their Fremont factory, Tesla had an area called the plantation for people of color. They also had racist graffiti throughout the plant. Musk is from apartheid era South Africa. I have a feeling his racism is deeply rooted in his life.
The transcript is below. It looks like the CEO definitely had it in mind and was hesitant to say it directly. The interviewer did a good job of getting them to admit it.
I ran upon this video today. It might be helpful.
Thanks, those are good links. I don’t know anything about power supplies/demands, sorry I can’t be a better conversation partner.
There might be similar boards on AliExpress, but I haven’t seen ones with as many SATA ports.
The are similar (the same?) boards all over Amazon and AliExpress. I would be interested in knowing what you find out. Good luck!
I’ve been looking at this for a bit: https://a.co/d/2FMhmIY
I haven’t checked any reviews, but it might be something to look into.
Not OP, but I use this download manager. It has been good.
My personal pet peeve is people using “societal” when “social” is just as appropriate.
Social media’s impact on society is relevant to technology. I would even say it is one of the most important questions in relation to technology today. So, how an owner tries to silence criticisms of his social media site for spreading fascism seems relevant to me.
I’ve got a Frankenstein setup that wasn’t really thought out that well when I started. I’ll probably end up changing it later. If you go the Proxmox route, check out the partitioning suggestions carefully before you begin.
I’ve got an old minitower that replaced a mini PC setup. I wanted to bring my hdd into the box and connect via SATA instead of an external HDD on USB. I’ll probably get a bigger case to make installing HDDs more convenient.
I don’t really understand the partitioning to be honest. I have a 512gb nvme that is split up into a couple of partitions for VMs, ISO’s, backups and things for Proxmox. Then I have some other HDDs and SSDs that I use for files. Nothing in raid yet, but I’m hoping to add a couple of more HDDs. Then I’ll connect them to OMV and put them in raid.
I’m currently hosting radarr, sonarr, prowlarr and overseerr. It’s really convenient.
When I was in your shoes about 8 months ago, I opted for Proxmox and don’t regret it. Since then, I’ve been able to try different NAS OSs, experiment with different hosted services, etc. it gives you a lot of freedom to set up a VM, try a bunch of stuff, and then delete it and implement a fresh solution when you’re satisfied with something.
If you do that, you might consider having the operating system and VMs on one disk. If you decide on NAS software, many pass through the storage drives to the NAS directly.
I’m probably going to end up with the following:
I hope this is helpful!
I have an off-site Synology that is also killing me trying to get it connected. Did you realize they don’t allow ssh on their VPN service?
This was the first hit on proxmox vps.

I have no idea if they are good or not, but this kind of service might be what you’re looking for?
