  • Lemmy of course. I love the forum format and it’s a great place to fediverse content from another plateforme. I post here with alt on Bookwyrm, Forkkey and PixelFed. I can’t wait to share a Loop on my favorite community. But to read content from all over the fediverse, it is best to have an account on the twittoverse. I use Sharkey. I can access so much content that’s not on Lemmy. It is much less of an echo chamber plus there is lots of people and I can still post to Lemmy.

  • I destroyed repeatedly a pigeon nest-in-building because of a nasty experience I had the previous year. These determined little birds lay a egg during the night next to A SINGLE BRANCH!
Latter they layed a second eggs unfortunately it has rolled over the edge of the balcony because of that.

    Crazy birds…

  • I wish there was more people on not-so-general communities.
If this means less meme or political posts, it would be for the best. However, more specific communities that are not part of a themed instance have very little activity. If I want to learn about ecology and its science, I know I can find many active communities on slrpnk.net, if I want content that matter to Germans, I can go it feddit.org, jlai.lu the same for Frenchs. But if I want people posting picture of nice looking sticks or find !foraging stories or connect with people doing [email protected] I know that I have to be patient and that’s to bad 'cause if people spend less time commenting US election or some shower thoughts, some people will find time and fun interacting in these communities and many others.

  • In a similar vein, there is unsolicited calls from call center that dial your number automatically. If you picked up and say “Hello?” they register the sound and connect you with an agent. So I picked up my phone and stay silent every time I got a call from a unknown number. Quite enough that ends up by being hang up after 5 or 10 seconds. Actual people say “hello?” first when we don’t.
