Privacy while shopping in person is literally impossible these days, so I don’t even try there.
I know I’m recorded dozens if not hundreds of times by cameras and other devices every time I leave home. Apartment building security cams, neighbors’ doorbell cams, public transit cams, police surveillance cams, dashcams, retail cams. There are thousands of automated license plate readers in my state. My car has four cams and sends all sorts of data back to the manufacturer. My apartment front door is electronic and it logs all locks & unlocks. My building’s parking garage logs every time I enter and exit. Virtually every intersection has surveillance cams (not just red light cams). Hell even when hiking you’ll end up on trail cams.
Last month police in my metro used outdoor surveillance cams to falsely accuse a woman of package theft and the cop that visited her home told her, “You know we have cameras in that town. You can’t get a breath of fresh air in or out of that place without us knowing."
Your best bet for privacy while shopping is if you walk everywhere, pay with cash and wear a mask. And even if you do all that, gait-recognition technology will be widespread in the very near future and you’ll be identifiable in public even while wearing a mask.

Same here, skin is perfectly fine without moisturizing. But I also drink like a gallon of water a day.

Good question, but we pay close attention to the news and hopefully we’ll get out before that’s a problem. If we’re unable to leave the country then I guess I’d contact the Swedish embassy to see if they can help.

Chile. Maybe it’s because I’m American but nobody there was interested in talking to me, sharing their culture or learning anything about me. I tried multiple times but all my interactions with Chileans were purely transactional and most of them seemed annoyed to have to deal with me. I’ve been to ~25 countries and wouldn’t bother returning to Chile.

Not preparing at all, just living my life like normal. When things get really bad here I’ll sell my car and move to Europe with my girlfriend (I have dual citizenship and can sponsor her).

Salmiak is not popular worldwide. I love salmiak, but almost no one I mention it to is familiar with it.
Yeah the zip code reassessment seems like the most likely explanation. Maybe the rate of accidents, car thefts and vandalism went down in OP’s zip code, so the insurance company lowered their premium.
I recently moved one mile away to a different zip code and GEICO increased my premium from $130 to $175 which I understand is very expensive for what I’m getting for coverage. I’ve never filed a claim, never been at fault for an accident, my car isn’t worth much and my only traffic violation was speeding more than a decade ago. Weirdly enough my pet insurance premium decreased by $25 when I moved. 🤷♂️
