I just got up from conversation with a couple of older black men, that I said “well I got to go back to work and start cracking the whip.” And it occurred to me then that it was probably a really insensitive stupid thing to say.
Sadly, it hadn’t occurred to me until it’s already said.
If someone gets offended by something as banal as “crack the whip” they arent worth bothering yourself over, save your calories for someone else
“it’s their fault if they get offended”
I value the well being of those I care about, if youre shitting your whole ass over something so small as “crack the whip” then you are not someone i care about
