    You know, maybe what someone looks like isn’t the demarcation of whether they have good values or not.

    This doesn’t make clear if it is impugning the picture on the left as unrealistic and a toxic standard of masculinity to begin with, while accepting that looking like a nebbish nerd doesn’t mean you’re actually a nebbish nerd.

    Nazi propaganda was just that: propaganda. However, we would be remiss to ignore the beauty standards it set for men, regardless of whether the Nazi elite failed to live up to those beauty standards.

    Continuing to judge people on looks instead of actions and ideology is treading the same propagandist path as the people we’re supposed to be criticizing.

      Excellent.

      I wasn’t even sure what the message was, since the left picture looks so much worse to me, that I needed the comment to confirm. And I couldn’t agree more. Stop equating looks with personality traits, success, implied actions.

    Yeah but the external traits aren’t the really ugly part of him. I’d rather a world of ugly and kind people than beautiful nazis
