There’s been a couple of minor dust-ups on mastodon about the conduct of so-called “big accounts” there that I do not care to comment on, but it has got me thinking — do we even have “big accounts” on the threadiverse (Lemmy/piefed/mbin)? I don’t think there’s any handle I’ve seen where I’ve been like “oh yeah, that person.” Am I just bad at remembering usernames, or does the community/thread style of discussion remove all continuity for a single account?

write freely has their own hosted servers (https://read.write.as/), and ghost is a federated platform for monetized blogging (ghost.org).
for write freely, I found the fediverse observer page for write freely (https://writefreely.fediverse.observer/list). I once came across a huge write freely blog, but can’t find it anymore.
on Keyboard Vagabond, I have a Topic set up with different blog communities that I found https://piefed.keyboardvagabond.com/topic/blogs.
it may also help to search mastodon for #blog and#blogging to find some people and then you can follow them there or on RSS from their main sites.
I don’t know if that actually answers you question, but it’s things I’ve done to find people.
I love keyboard vagabond. I think it’s so smart to bundle a bunch of different services under a single domain and branding.
thanks a bunch! it’s been a fun adventure! 😄
