Erstwhile, haven’t heard that in a while, but there was a NYT crossword clue lately, something like “before, long ago” that was ERST so I’ve thought about it recently.
It’s not a word one sees often, agreed, but I love it.
I got my first extra hour the day after I was born.
Edit: I was wrong, it turns out there was no DST in my country when I was born. So I definitely banked it.
